MadWall has immediate openings for Permanent Construction Designer / Estimator in Burlington.
Start Date: 1-2 Weeks
Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 / Year
Shift:
-Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Responsibilities - Construction Designer / Estimator:
- The Construction Designer will work as a core member of our Estimating & Design Team.
- Identify the best materials to meet the performance requirements of our proprietary System.
- Keeping existing design library updated through collaboration with Estimating/Design Department.
- Ability to create new design library parts and assemblies for various Product Lines (non-proprietary)
- Modeling of components and assemblies
- Review customer request for modifications to standard designs
- Preparation of proposals of our proprietary and non-proprietary product lines.
- Preparation of proposal drawings for the Project Managers using AutoCAD/ RevIt / SolidWorks/for customer approval
- Issuing installation ready drawings using same programs
- Creating Bill of Materials using same programs (as required)
- Revising drawings as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in AutoCAD/RevIt/Solid Works
- Construction experience required
- Capable of working independently or in multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding, communicating or overcoming technical issues on design with internal stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Excellent detailing skills
- Good problem solving and organizational skills
- A high degree of personal initiative and excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
